Instructions for removing the hydraulic lift from the cabinet without taking the top panel off of your cabinet can be found by clicking here.
Once the hydraulic lift is removed, you can follow these steps for installing the new electric lift. **The pictures show a hydraulic lift-the steps are the same for installing the electric lift.
1. Start with the left side of the lift. Align both white glides onto the rail and nestle the cable inside the rail cut out as shown. It may be easier if you have a partner hold the left side as shown, while the other attaches the right side.
2. Align both white glides onto the right side rail, nestle the cable inside the rail cut out as shown.
3. CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO Make sure both sides are lined up with the white glides, gently push down on the lifter so that the cables are tight as shown in the video, then gently raise and pivot the lift assembly into the cabinet.
4. Align the lift assembly with the screw holes and replace the middle and top screws on each rail. If you need to move the lift to access a screw hole, you can connect the cables and plug the unit in, press the up or down button on the controller to move the lift.
5. Once the rails are secured inside the cabinet, make sure the lift cables are connected and plugged into power. Move the lift up to the very top (free arm position).
6. With the lift in the flatbed position, you can now reattach the sewing platform. Place the sewing platform inside the opening and center it onto the lift. You can use the pre-existing screw holes or drill new ones directly into the underside of the platform. Make sure you have clearance on all sides to ensure the platform will move freely inside the opening. You can use paper, cardboard or anything to put between the platform and opening to ensure clearance all around. Attach the sewing platform to the lift using the 4 screws.
Congratulations! You can now use your electric lift via the controller or remote. Please see the owner's manual for setting up your desired pre sets and attaching the cord clips to your cables. Happy Sewing!
